At American Cruise Lines, we provide the skills needed for your role through our training program at our state-of-the-art facility in Salt Lake City, UT. Our Training combines hands-on learning with expert-led instruction, ensuring you gain both knowledge and practical experience. Designed to meet diverse learning needs and real-world applications, our traning encourages continuous improvement and success through support and collaboration.
Training Process & Timeline:
After completing all pre-employment steps, you will join a Virtual Training Orientation held one week before your scheduled training to review expectations and preparation. Shore-side training lasts 3 to 5 days, depending on the position, with each day typically lasting 12 hours.
Topics Covered: company culture, guest service standards, procedures and processes, job duties and responsibilities, shipboard safety, company policies, grooming and appearance expectations, and typical work schedule.
Training Process & Timeline:
After completing all pre-employment onboarding steps before scheduling training. A Virtual Training Orientation will be held one week before the class to review expectations and preparation. Training can last 1-2 weeks, depending on the position.

Shipboard Training:
After completing shoreside training, new managers will undergo 1 to 2 weeks of shipboard training, where they will shadow their current manager to gain on-the-job experience.
