Onboard Chefs

Taking on a chef position with American Cruise Lines is a unique culinary experience that is also personally rewarding. Whether your interests lie in preparing the finest pastry or assembling exquisite entrees, our culinary careers are ideal for those who have a passion for providing others with an excellent dining experience. While onboard, our chefs have access to the latest appliances and are provided with the best ingredients to serve our guests. Also, as a result of our ship size, the number of passengers that need to be carter to is smaller. This allows for our chefs to have flexibility in the creation of their dishes and be able to experiment with different flavors and techniques. Though we do require our chefs to have previous culinary experience to work onboard, we will train you in the etiquette of the culinary world of a cruise ship.

We pride ourselves on being able to serve our passengers with exceptional dishes that not only incorporate the regional culinary traditions of where we cruise, but also uses the freshest produce, meat, and seafood. This may prove challenging on board a cruise ship; however by maintaining a positive attitude and having the willingness to work in a team, you will be successful. Our servers are well-trained in customer service and our food and beverage managers will be there to help you through every step of the dining process.

Note: Due to Coast Guard regulations, we can only hire American citizens to work on board our ships. All candidates must also be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test to be officially hired.
